General

  • Ring of Pancreatic Tissue Surrounds Duodenum (2nd Portion) From Rotational Failure of the Ventral Bud
  • Associated with Down Syndrome

Diagnosis

  • Dx: CT, UGI or MRCP

Presentation

  • Most (2/3) Are Asymptomatic
  • Duodenal Obstruction
  • Pancreatitis
  • Bleeding
  • Abdominal Pain

Treatment

  • Asymptomatic: None
  • Symptomatic: Bypass Annulus (Duodenoduodenostomy (In Neonates), Duodenojejunostomy or Gastrojejunostomy)
